Dovid believes that a Shliach Tzibbur's job during the Yomim Noraim is not about turning the davening into a concert. The kehilla is not just there to listen — it is there to daven, and the person at the amud has a responsibility to help carry their tefillos. Rather than entertaining the tzibbur, Dovid strives to create an uplifting, serious-yet-upbeat atmosphere that encourages everyone to be active participants in the service of Hashem.
